For the first time in NOVA-LUG’s history, a small group of members packed up their bricks and headed west to put our stamp on BrickWorld Chicago—the largest LEGO fan convention in the world.
With over a thousand builders filling the convention hall, the scale was breathtaking. Our four members rose to the challenge, proudly displaying a City Space layout, a dynamic surfer riding a wave, several intricate GBC modules, and a vibrant mosaic. Seeing our builds alongside some of the most renowned names in the AFOL community was both humbling and inspiring.
What stood out wasn’t just the displays but the connections. Our members spent hours swapping building tips, attending workshops, and marveling at the creativity on display. BrickWorld has a way of reminding you just how big and passionate the LEGO community is. For NOVA-LUG, this first showing was a milestone—and the beginning of what we hope will be a regular tradition.
