At the end of the summer, a small but mighty group of three NOVA-LUG members made the trek to Sandy, Utah for BrickSlopes. With several small builds on display, it was the third official LEGO Fan Networking Event of the year with NOVA-LUG representation in the exhibitions. While our presence was small in numbers, the impact was anything but.

The weekend was filled with jaw-dropping displays, insightful presentations from LEGO designers and seasoned builders, and plenty of chances to connect with fans from across the country. Our members dove right in—playing games, meeting new friends, and, in true NOVA-LUG fashion, walking away with some well-deserved recognition.

Special congratulations go to James W., who won Best Military MOC of the show with his special build honoring the service and sacrifice of American service members. The group also came home with a few game victories (and bragging rights to match). BrickSlopes proved once again that whether we’re at a massive local convention or a faraway gathering, NOVA-LUG builders bring creativity, passion, and a whole lot of fun to every event.
